Mark your calendar for Gustine Market's Winter Wine Tasting Event on Friday, February 22, 2013. This tasting has something for EVERYONE!
There will be more than eight different wines to sample, including the following three NEW WINES. At Gustine Market, we know that it is important to have a wide range AND good selection of wines in a variety of price categories. We have almost 200 types of wines to choose from, and we continue to bring in new wines every month for our customers. Here's a peak at some of the new ones:
Wairau River Sauvignon Blanc - This wine is light straw colored. This wine offers an intense lifted nose of ripe tropical fruits and citrus. Refined and elegant, it displays a finely textured palate with flavors of guava and stone fruit. Wonderfully expressive with a dry refreshing finish.

Charles Thomas Cote Du Rhone - From a 140+-acre estate near the well-known Cotes du Rhone village of Pont Saint Esprit emerges this juicy Cotes du Rhone, a blend of 50% Syrah, 40% Grenache and 10% Mourvedre. Well-made, with loads of berry fruit and a heady, meaty, peppery nose with a hint of Provencal herbs, the wine is fresh, lively, and best drunk over the next 2 years.

Sirius Bordeaux Rouge - This wine is a sustained garnet red with ruby and dark purple tints. Powerful from first sniff, it opens out to display a rich palate of red fruits, vanilla and spice with toasty notes. The meaty, beautifully round attack gives way to a superbly textured palate followed by an aftertaste which is just begging to unfold. The ripe tannins afford delicious balance and fine length without astringency to this blend.

Everyone is excited about this Gustine Market Special Event: Our Valentine's Preview Chocolate and Wine Tasting Event! This event is just in time for Valentine's Day, and would make a great night out for you and your special someone. What perfect way to sample some excellent wines along with KAKAO CHOCOLATE and other Gustine Market treats! 

 

 

Here's a peak at some of the fabulous wines we have lined up for this event.

JFJ California Champagne Brut - Sparkling wine filled with the smells of apple, pear, touches of caramel, and yeast. The tiny bubbles fill your glass and invite you to taste this delicious treat.

Infantado Tawny Port - The Tawny is aged in casks and small "tonies" (slightly smaller than Bordelaise barriques). It is lighter than the Ruby Port, but still expressive of fruit with coffee and toffee.

Riondo Prosecco Spago Nero - It is effusively fruity and light bodied, offering terrific floral notes, persistent effervescence, and a clean, delicate finish. There is perfect body and weight in this crystal clear, pure sparkling wine. It’s an ideal aperitif to enjoy any day of the year. It is simply amazing!

We will have a variety of wines in addition to sparkling wines (including some dry red wines) that will be a great way to compliment our delicious Kakao Chocolate samples. This is an event for chocolate and/or wine lovers!
